White Rabbit Skincare - My New Favourite Brand

White Rabbit Skincare has been on my radar for quite a while, but I've never gotten around to ordering anything before now. A few weeks ago I asked people on Twitter to recommend a cruelty free dupe for the Nuxe Reve De Miel which was my holy grail lip balm (damn you for torturing innocent animals Nuxe!). I had a couple of recommendations for different ones, but Tamsin from Eco Fluffy Mama recommended the White Rabbit Skincare Chocolate Orange Lip Balm and it sounded perfect.

Whilst I was picking up the Lip Balm I also ordered a couple of sample sizes of other products too. I love it when brands do sample sizes, as you can try it before buying a full size product that might not work for you and then not being able to use it. I picked up samples of the Comfort Cleansing Balm and the Orange Blossom and Aloe Vera Toner because these are products I've heard a lot of good things about.

As a bit of background White Rabbit Skincare was founded by Melanie Blane who is passionate about natural products, the environment and animal welfare. She created a kick ass natural and vegan skincare line to promote a healthier, greener way of life. All of the products are handmade in small batches, so that you get the best quality possible. They are free from animal-derived ingredients, parabens, SLS, silicones, mineral oils, artificial colours and artificial fragrances so you know you are getting great quality, natural products. White Rabbit Skincare are completely cruelty free and they follow the 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle' principle to minimise their impact on the environment.

First of all I am absolutely in love with the packaging - insert heart eye emoji here! It's all recyclable and some of it is already made from recycled materials - how great is that? I love that it's still stylish and looks good on my dressing table, but I know that I can recycle it afterwards. In fact White Rabbit Skincare have gone that extra step and if you send an empty packaging item back you'll get 50p off each new product you order. Little things like this really make a company stand out to me and it shows that they care about the environment and their customers too.

The actual products are also incredible. My first try was the Chocolate Orange Lip Balm as this was the main thing I wanted. It's a lovely thick balm and is very similar to the Reve De Miel balm. It's not quite as thick, but this suits me as I can use it in the morning underneath lipstick and throughout the day, as well as an overnight treatment. The smell is amazing, although it does make me crave a Terry's Chocolate Orange, so it has the potential to make you put on a few pounds!! The balm itself doesn't feel greasy on the lips, just really creamy and velvety. It doesn't leave you with super shiny lips either, it's more like a satin finish so you could easily wear this on it's own. My lips are always super soft after application and the overall condition of my lips are much better after a couple of weeks of continuous use. This will definitely be a staple in my routine now - in fact I'll probably pick up another one when I get paid so I can pop one in my bag and one can sit on my bedside table.

Cleansers are a thing I'm quite fickle with to be honest. I love a good cleanser and my holy grail is the Oskia Rennaisance Cleansing Gel but it's just sooooo expensive and I can't really afford to buy it all the time. I've never really found a cheaper cleanser that's really wowed me, so I'm always trying different ones. I picked the Comfort Cleansing Balm up on a whim and I'm glad I did. It's quite a thick balm and takes a little bit of work warming it up in your hands before it's thin enough to rub into your skin, but once it's warmed up it's the perfect consistency. I like to take a minute to really work it in and make sure all my make up is broken down, then I remove with a warm flannel. It works well at removing make up and dirt and leaves my skin squeaky clean but not stripped of moisture. I need to use it for a couple more weeks really to see the long term effects, but I'm definitely looking at picking up a full sized one soon to give it a thorough test.

The last thing I picked up was the Orange Blossom and Aloe Vera Toner. I love a good toner and like to have a few options to chose from on my vanity table. This one is really lovely. It smells just like oranges but not too strong, so don't worry if you're not a big fan of fragranced products. It makes my skin feel really comfortable and hydrated. The pump disperses the product as a mist, so it feels great as it hits your face and settles into your skin.  It feels really calming and I love how it creates a perfect base for the rest of my skincare routine. Once this sample runs out I'll definitely be picking up a full size.

I don't know why I haven't tried White Rabbit Skincare before now, but I wish I had tried it sooner. Their products are great quality, they have excellent company ethics and the prices aren't too bad either. Some people may think that £25 for a cleansing balm is a bit much but it is a 100ml tub and it's a natural product that works well and that comes from a great company. I'd rather give my money to a company that values it's customers, animals and the planet than a company that is only bothered about making money.

I'd definitely recommend White Rabbit Skincare to everyone and I'm so glad that it was recommended to me. I can't rave about WRS enough and I can see that I'm going to be a lifelong fan already! Next on my list (other than the products I've mentioned above) is the Chamomile and Carrot Seed Eye Cream, Coconut & Rosehip Calming Cream and the It's All About M.E! Night Cream. If they're anything like the other products then I'll have a very happy face - in more ways than one!

Have you tried anything from White Rabbit Skincare?
