Disneyland Paris Travel Beauty Essentials

While you're reading this I'm actually in Paris, visiting Disneyland with my fella, his sister and her family and my fella's mum. I used to like putting my holiday make up bag posts together, but let's face it I never pack light so they used to end up being a bit like War and Peace! Therefore, I've revamped it a little and thought I'd share some of my favourite beauty bits I've packed to take to Paris with me. Without further ado....

A CF, Vegan and Natural Beauty Subscription Box That You Need To Know About

The Natural Beauty Box

Subscription boxes have really taken off in the last few years and I'm so glad because they're a great way to find new products and brands. It's the perfect way to try a brand before forking out for a product that may not suit you or you may not like and it ends up going to waste. It's also amazing to see cruelty free subscription boxes really coming into their own. One of these I want to introduce you to today is The Natural Beauty Box.

The Natural Beauty Box is a cruelty free, natural and vegan monthly beauty box that delivers 5 - 6 new products to your door each month for you to try. In each box you can find natural, clean beauty products from a mixture of well-established brands, upcoming brands and lesser known artisans, so chances are you'll find some great new brands and products that you might not have heard of before. Each box contains a mixture of travel sizes and full sized products and has a retail value of around £50 - the box itself is only £24.95 a month with free delivery in the UK,

My New Holy Grail Eyeshadows - RMS Beauty Swift Shadows

RMS Swift Shadows

So I'm sure you can tell by the title that I have some exciting products to share with you today that I absolutely adore! I've been wanting to try something from RMS Beauty for aaaages and I finally bit the bullet and picked up some Swift Shadows * from Love Lula last month.

RMS Beauty is named after it's founder Rose-Marie Swift, who several years ago discovered that her blood contained toxic levels of heavy metals including aluminum, barium, cadmium, lead and mercury as well as high levels of pesticides and other chemicals. Her doctor asked her if she worked in the cosmetic industry, which she did, and this made her realise how dangerous cosmetics could be. She then re-built her health and wanted to help other women have access to healthy beauty products, so she created RMS Beauty. All RMS products are formulated with raw, food grade and organic ingredients in their natural state, to allow the living, healing ingredients to rejuvenate the skin. All of

Dr Botanicals Charcoal Superfood Mattifying Face Mask

Dr Botanicals Charcoal Superfood Mattifying Face Mask

Dr Botanicals are a brand that I've really come to love over the past year or so. Their products are great quality and I've been pretty impressed with everything I've tried. They have recently brought out their Apothecary range which focuses on using superfood ingredients in each product. I was lucky enough to be sent the Charcoal Superfood Mattifying Face Mask * to try a couple of weeks ago and having given it a thorough test I thought I'd share my thoughts with you.

I love a good charcoal mask. My pores attract dirt quite easily, so I like to make sure that I use a deep cleansing mask at least once a week. Anything with Charcoal in is usually a good bet, so I was pretty excited when this came through my door. It aims to gently cleanse and exfoliate the skin using Activated Charcoal Powder, which also helps to mattify the skin. It also contains Shea Butter to help smooth and soften the skin.

Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation

Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation

I picked up the Ere Perez Oat Milk Foundation* in the hopes that it would be the perfect natural every day foundation and although it does do a good job, it's not the perfect one for me unfortunately. I don't usually do reviews of products that I don't absolutely love but I thought I'd make an exception for this one. Don't get me wrong I do like this foundation, but I'm just not in love with it. I thought I'd write up a post though because when I was looking for reviews on this I couldn't find many and I'd like to add another one to the Google search to try and help others if I can.

Ere Perez is an Australian owned company whose aim is to produce natural, healthy make up. They only use carefully selected, premium quality ingredients blended with antioxidants to create gentle, but highly effective natural make up products. Their products are free from parabens, parrafin, talc, petroleum, synthetic fragrances and mineral oil along with several other harsh chemicals and are instead loaded with vitamins and organic oils to nourish the skin.

Green People Vita Min Fix from Eco Beauty Crew

I've been loving my natural products lately and I'm really trying to incorporate more natural ingredients into my routine wherever I can. I find that my skin absolutely loves them, so I'm slowly trying to transition most of my products (skincare especially) to being all natural.

I've tried a couple of natural moisturisers before and although I've liked them I've not been overly wowed by any. The thing I find with natural moisturisers is that the texture is quite different from non natural ones - I think it's probably because of the lack of silicones. Natural moisturisers tend to be quite watery/lumpy where the ingredients don't quite mix properly and I'm not a fan of that at all. So when the lovely Michelle from Eco Beauty Crew got in touch and asked if I'd like to try a new moisturiser I of course said yes please, eager to try and find the perfect one!

Cruelty Free Haircare for Bleached Hair

Cruelty Free Haircare

What's this I hear you say?! Two posts in a week? What is this madness?! Well it's my birthday on Sunday and that's usually post day, so I thought I'd publish this a little earlier and then I'll have another new post the middle of next week too hopefully.

I've been asked to do a post on my cruelty free hair care a couple of times since going blonde, so I thought it was about time that I got around to writing one. I started to transition into blonde hair in March by just bleaching the ends, but now I have a full head of foils and toner over the whole thing. One thing I must admit is that I go to my friend at the salon she works at and they don't use cruelty free products on my hair. I have looked for cf salons in my area but unfortunately I can't find one. I love the way my hair is now and I'd be kind of scared to change salons to be honest as my friend knows exactly how I like my hair. So I'm not perfect, but I do like to make sure that I only use cruelty free

Medusa's Make Up Metal AF Lip Gloss

Medusa's Make Up Metal AF Lip Gloss

This little baby is the main reason that I wanted to pick up September's The Pip Box and let me tell you I'm glad I did. I'd never heard of Medusa's Make Up before, but The Pip Box advertised that they were including this lip gloss in their September box and I knew I needed it there and then.

Medusa's Make Up are an American brand that produce cruelty free & vegan make up. I've managed to find a couple of UK stockists luckily, so will definitely be looking at picking up some more of their products. I've also linked to a UK site below for anyone whose interested in picking this up over here.

First of all the names of these lip glosses are amazing! The one that was included in The Pip Box is Bad Medicine after the Bon Jovi song (one of my faves!) but some of their other's include Cherry Pie, Crazy Train and Girls Girls

The Konjac Sponge Company's New Mythical Creatures Collection - The Cutest Konjac Sponges Ever

I tried a konjac sponge a few years ago and was a bit underwhelmed to be honest. I tried a charcoal one and it was okay but I don't think I really knew how to use it or store it, so even though I liked it I didn't feel like I needed to re-purchase one. I've read a few good reviews about them lately with people using them in different ways, so when The Konjac Sponge Company got in touch about their new Mythical Creatures collection and very graciously offered to send me one to try, I was intrigued to try another one and actually learn how to use it this time!

The Konjac Sponge Company make sponges that are 100% vegetable fibre and are a natural way to cleanse and exfoliate whilst also being good for the environment. The new Mythical Creatures collection come in recyclable cardboard boxes and the sponge itself is fully biodegradable too - once you've finished with them you can plant them in your garden and they'll provide extra moisture for your plants before they break down. How great is that?! They're

Pacifica Stellar Gaze Mascara

Pacifica Stellar Gaze Mascara

I ran out of my Ere Perez Volumising Waterproof Mascara a couple of weeks ago and have been looking for another natural mascara ever since. Although I love that mascara it's such a pain to get off that it put me off buying another tube. I like my lashes to have volume and length (greedy, I know!) so finding a new one has been pretty hard - most natural mascaras are good at lengthening but not so great at volume so it seems. In the end I decided to go for the Pacifica Stellar Gaze Mascara * in Stardust as I'd heard good reviews and it claimed to be similiar to what I was after.

Pacifica's Stellar Gaze Mascara is infused with coconut oil and vitamin B to hydrate the lashes whilst also lengthening, strengthening and adding volume. It's cruelty free, vegan and it's free from FD&C Colour, parabens, talc and mineral oil. As I was looking for a mascara that I can wear all day every day, it's important for it to be

My New Favourite Red Lip

Ilia Tinted Lip Conditioner Bang Bang

I love a red lip. I actually think that it suits me too. The only problem with a red lip is that after I've worn one for a few hours my lips can dry out and crack. With this in mind I've been on the hunt for a moisturising lip colour and I stumbled across the Ilia Tinted Lip Conditioner on Naturisimo and was very intrigued. I've heard so many good things about Ilia but haven't had the privilege of trying anything. Until now.

Ilia are dedicated to creating the purest products possible because our skin is our largest organ and absorbs just about anything that we put on it. All Ilia cosmetics are made with up to 85% certified organic ingredients to nourish the skin and aide it's repair. All products are free from parabens, petrochemicals, fillers, carmine and synthetic preservatives and are all suitable for vegetarians. Unfortunately they are not vegan, as some products use beeswax. Ilia also use recycled aluminium tubing for their lipstick cases, showing their interest in being an

Forest & Shore Hallelujah Hair Oil

Forest & Shore Hallelujah Hair Oil

Since bleaching my hair at the start of the year I've been making a conscious effort to take better care of it. The bleach has made my hair much drier (as I knew it would) which is brilliant for my roots, as I can go so much longer between washes now (yay!), but not so great for my ends which were already pretty straw-like.

When it comes to cruelty free brands I find that there's a lot less choice with haircare than with skincare and make up and I struggle to find brands that are great quality but not overly expensive. I love my Lee Stafford haircare but sometimes I like to try something a little different and more natural.

Enter Forest & Shore Hallelujah Hair Oil *.

Favourite Face Masks To Combat Blemishes

I've had a couple of mini breakouts erupt on my chin over the last few weeks and although I'm pretty sure that it's down to the absolute appalling diet we've had since coming back from Mexico I've been looking for skincare products to help. I've found two face masks that have really been helping to calm my skin so I thought I'd let you in on my little secrets. Both of these masks use more natural ingredients than any of my other masks and I believe that's one of the reasons why these have had such a positive effect on my skin.

Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask - £24.99

This has been a long time favourite of mine and it's probably the only face mask that I've repurchased twice. This is such a soothing face mask and it's so comfortable to wear on the skin. You apply the mask all over the skin, leave it

White Rabbit Skincare - My New Favourite Brand

White Rabbit Skincare has been on my radar for quite a while, but I've never gotten around to ordering anything before now. A few weeks ago I asked people on Twitter to recommend a cruelty free dupe for the Nuxe Reve De Miel which was my holy grail lip balm (damn you for torturing innocent animals Nuxe!). I had a couple of recommendations for different ones, but Tamsin from Eco Fluffy Mama recommended the White Rabbit Skincare Chocolate Orange Lip Balm and it sounded perfect.

Whilst I was picking up the Lip Balm I also ordered a couple of sample sizes of other products too. I love it when brands do sample sizes, as you can try it before buying a full size product that might not work for you and then not being able to use it. I picked up samples of the Comfort Cleansing Balm and the Orange Blossom and Aloe Vera Toner because these are products I've heard a lot of good things about.

Khadi Viola Face Oil

khadi Viola Face Oil Review

khadi are a company that create 100% natural products based on traditional Ayurvedic formulations. They have a range of herbal hair colours, hair oils and skin oils that are all cruelty free. Their range of face and body oils has been formulated as an alternative to the heavy creams that we use in the winter months. Each of the 5 oils has been crafted for a different skin type. I was kindly sent the Viola Face Oil * to try out and after a few weeks of use I can finally let you know all about it.

I chose the Viola oil for normal skin, as I was drawn to the claim that it would reduce the formation of blemishes which I seem to be struggling with at the moment. Along with reducing blemishes it also claims to moisturise and improve skin tone. It's also suitable for sensitive skin as it includes Shavatari, which soothes discomfort and Anantmool to reduce inflammation. It also has Aromatherapuetic properties: Vanilla to improve mood, Devadaru calms nerves and

Dr Botanicals Coconut Oil Rejuvenating Body Exfoliating Bar

Dr Botanicals Coconut Oil Rejuvenating Body Exfoliating Bar

A few weeks ago I was sent the Dr Botanicals Coconut Oil Rejuvenating Body Exfoliating Bar * to test out. I love a good exfoliator as it always makes my skin look so much better, but I don't always have the inclination to actually use one as it's a bit of a faff. When I saw that this one was in bar form I couldn't wait to try it and see if it would make me exfoliate more. I've made a big dent in the bar now, so I though now would be the perfect time to let you know my thoughts.

The Coconut Oil Exfoliating Bar (I'm shortening it's name to this, as it's a bit of a mouthful!) claims to hydrate, cleanse and gently exfoliate by using shredded coconut to exfoliate and coconut oil to moisturise. It's a refreshing cleansing and exfoliating bar that can be used on your face, body and hands for a youthful complexion.

My Favourite Foundation EVER?!

Kat Von D Lock It Liquid Foundation

I've finally found it: the BEST foundation ever! Now it may be a little early to be saying this as I've only been using this for a few weeks but I love it so much that I had to share it with you guys. So without further ado I present to you Kat Von D 'Lock It' Liquid Foundation.

I've always loved Kat Von D since her Miami Ink days and her make up is always perfect, so when she released her make up line I knew I would more than likely love it all. As we couldn't get it in the UK for years I never got around to trying the foundation though, until now. I saw it in Sephora in Mexico and shade matched myself, but I never bought it and I kicked myself afterwards as I would have saved quite a bit of money. Once we got back Anthony very kindly ordered it for me as a surprise because he knew how gutted I was that I didn't get it - 50 boyfriend points to him! As soon as I opened the box I knew it would be love.

Botanicals Gentle Hydrating Mist

Botanicals Gentle Hydrating Mist

A few weeks ago I was kindly sent a sample of Botanicals Gentle Hydrating Mist: Chamomile & Mandarin * to try. I chose the Chamomile and Mandarin version as this uses Chamomile, White Tea, Lavender and Mandarin to give skin a kick of hydration. This version is also suitable for sensitive skin, which I don't usually have but it is having a tantrum at the moment so I'm trying to use gentle products to try and calm it down.

Botanicals hydrating mists claim to gently clear away impurities, balance the skin's natural pH, replenish moisture and brighten the complexion, so I was excited to try this with the flare up my skin was having.

The first thing I noticed when I tried this is that the spray is more of a squirt than a mist. The pump is quite powerful and it produces more of a spray, instead of a mist that disperses over your face. It's not a harsh spray by any means

A Natural Deodorant That Actually Works

Schmidt's Natural Deodorant

I've been looking for a natural deodorant for ages now and all the ones I've tried just haven't cut the mustard. A couple of weeks ago I saw Cruelty Free Becky mention Schmidt's Rose & Vanilla Deodorant Stick and I knew I had to try it. I love anything that smells of Vanilla or Rose, so the two together sounded just perfect.

Schmidt's Naturals is the brain-child of Jaime Schmidt who wanted to make products that would benefit her family's health. In 2010 during the Maker Movement Jaime noticed the lack of natural deodorant offerings on the market and decided that it was time to change the way people think about natural deodorants. Jaime refused to compromise on effectiveness and invested in research and testing which proved that her formula effectively neutralises odour, helps absorb wetness, feels good on the skin and smells amazing (I can definitely vouch for this!). Schmidt's deodorant spread like wildfire throughout Northwest America and quickly sold out in retail stores,

My First Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Haul

This has been a long time coming. I've seen so many posts raving about the Makeup Geek eyeshadows and it was finally time for me to try some. I picked up the Travel Vault Palette to store them all in and although this is called a 'travel' palette, it's pretty big. You assume that anything with travel in the name is going to be quite small but it holds 9/10 eyeshadow pans, which I think is the perfect amount for travelling even with it being a bit big - enough to hold all the basics and some extras for a glam evening eye look.

I did a lot of research beforehand on the shades that I wanted, as on the Beauty Bay website the colours don't look the same as they do in real life - as with most things. Reviews with swatches were the best things to go on, so I thought I'd add my own to the internet too to help others! I decided to build a whole eye look with the palette, so I can take it away with me and have everything all in one place. I eventually chose an inner corner

SoulTree Kajal Eyeliners

Soultree Kajal Eyeliner

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be offered 2 SoulTree Kajals* to try out. SoulTree Kajals* are 100% natural and are handmade by combining carbon black from vegetable oil lamps with organic ghee, natural mineral pigments and organic almond oil. They are made using a traditional ayurvedic recipe and a 3000 year old process - why change something when it works ey?! The addition of the almond oil and ghee mean that the kajals are super moisturising on the eyelids and won't dry out the senstive area around eyes and camphor has a naturally anti-bacterial and cooling effect. There are 12 different colours to chose from and they are all certified by the BDIH. I couldn't find a conclusive statement about them being cruelty free on their website but I emailed them and they have confirmed that neither their finished products or ingredients are tested on animals, by themselves or any third parties and they also do not sell in any countries that require animal testing. They also said they would add this information to their website for future reference.

Another Love Lula Haul

Love Lula Haul

Love Lula is fast becoming my favourite place to shop online for beauty products.

When they had a bank holiday sale on at the start of May (I know how delayed this post is - bad blogger!) I couldn't resist picking up some bits and pieces. No surprise that there's a lot of PHB Ethical Beauty in here, as I just love the brand! The fact that I could use my Love Lula points too, meant my final bill was tiny. I love getting a lot for my money - who doesn't?!

Long Haul Flight Essentials

Long Haul Flight Essentials

If you follow me on Twitter (and you totally should! - @hazelnutmusings) you'll know that I've been super excited about going to Mexico next week. I used to hate flying a few years ago but the more I've done it the less it scares me now. Actually I quite like having a long flight as it means I can catch up on some me time. Here are some of the things I'm taking to keep me entertained on a 10 hour flight.

Kindle

I love my kindle. I got the third gen when it came out and it's still going strong now. I love that I can take several books with me on holiday without actually carrying several heavy books - it's so convenient. I especially like this for any really big books, like Outlander (one of my favourites) as after a while they make my hands and wrist hurt

5 things: Life

It's been a pretty crazy time for me at the moment and blogging has taken a bit of a back seat. Everything seems to have come around at once and I seem to be juggling quite a bit, so I thought it would be good to let you guys know what I've been up to in the form of a 5 things post.

1. I recently went to Alcudia with three of my closest girlfriends and I had an amazing time. We managed to get a really good deal at the start of the year and the date finally arrived last week. We had lots of cocktails, beach time and of course laughs and it was bliss. It was so relaxing and nice not to have to worry about anything. However I've only been back a week and I already feel busy again because ....

2. We go to Mexico in 2 weeks! Anthony and I said that we were going to have a small holiday this year, due to

Ere Perez Volumising Waterproof Mascara

Ere Perez Volumising Waterproof Mascara

I came across the Ere Perez Volumising Waterproof Mascara whilst looking for a natural, cruelty free mascara. Apparently a natural mascara that's volumising and lengthening is pretty hard to find. Most of the mascaras that I saw were for a more natural look, which isn't the look I tend to go for with my lashes. After looking at a lot of ingredient lists I found this one that, although it has dimethicone in it, has clean ingredients and had really good reviews too.

The first mascara I had delivered to me was really dry and it was hard to get the product on to my lashes. I emailed Love Lula and they sent me another one out, which was much better. Most mascaras start out really wet and then dry down over a couple of weeks, but this one actually started out drier than others. I also found that it doesn't actually dry down any further - it stays at that consistency until it runs out. This means I can apply more

A Weekend in London - Harry Potter & The Cursed Child Play

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Our weekend in London was a while a go now (over 2 months ago to be more exact) but I still wanted to share it with you guys nevertheless. Over 18 months ago Anthony booked tickets for us to go and watch Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre. I'm a massive Harry Potter fan in case you didn't know (fun fact: Anthony actually proposed in the Great Hall at the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studio Tour!) and when the tickets came out Anthony spent 2 hours in the queue to book tickets for us. I wasn't in too much of a rush to see it so we decided to book it well in advance and make a weekend of it. We go to London quite a lot on day trips but had never stayed before and now was the perfect opportunity. Grab a cuppa cause this is gonna be a long one!

We got the train down on Friday morning, after rush hour and arrived early afternoon at Euston. Our hotel was the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hampshire Hotel in Leicester Square and it was the perfect location for the weekend. We

The Body Shop Superfood Face Masks

I've seen so many people raving about these masks lately that I just had to look into them for myself. My skin has been a little bit problematic lately and I'd been neglecting my face masks for a while, even though I know they do wonders for my skin I just couldn't be bothered, so I thought what better way to get back into them than by investing in some new ones.

The Body Shop's new masks seemed exactly what I needed to revive my skin and after doing a bit of research I found that all of the new masks are formulated without parabens, parafins, silicones or mineral oils, which was a pleasant surprise. I know that The Body Shop's products aren't natural products but with these new masks it seems that they are trying to cut out some of the chemicals in their products, which is definitely something I can get behind. All of the masks are 100% vegetarian and three of them are even 100% Vegan (Himalayan Charcoal,

Botanicals Organic Sanitiser

Botanicals Organic Sanitiser

Whenever I go on holiday I always like to take a hand sanitiser with me and in case you didn't know already I'm off to Spain with some girl friends next month and then Mexico in June with Anthony, his sis and her hubby, so I've been looking for a cruelty free version to take with me - and preferably a natural one too. I used to use Soap & Glory's Hand Maid but since they're cruelty free status is questionable I've not been buying from them anymore. Therefore it was perfect timing when an email popped into my inbox asking if I would like to try Botanicals' new Organic Sanitiser * - yes please!

We all know by now that I love Botanicals - they are a great cruelty free company with some amazing products, so my hopes were pretty high for this. It's 100% natural and is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. Botanicals Organic Sanitiser uses organic alcohol, derived from sugar beet, organic lavender and tea tree

Dr Botanicals Advanced Anti-Oxidant Superfood Facial Oil Review & discount code

Dr Botanicals Advanced Anti-Oxidant Superfood Facial Oil Review

In honour of Earth Day on the 22nd April, Dr Botanicals are spreading the word and encouraging people to use greener skincare. When they got in touch with me and asked if I would like to try their Advanced Anti-Oxidant Superfood Facial Oil * I of course jumped at the chance.

Dr Botanicals believe in using natural and ethically sourced ingredients in their products. All of their products are paraben free and free from any harmful preservatives. The Advanced Anti-Oxidant Superfood Facial Oil has only 15 ingredients including Blackcurrant Seed Oil to nourish and strengthen the skin, Sea Minerals that mimic skin compositions to improve the vitality of the skin and Wild Plum which has healing properties and includes antioxidants to help fight ageing signs. This is their greenest product to date and it's preservative free and contains no water, making it a self-preserving product. It's also suitable for Vegans, which is always good to hear.

Budget Natural Beauty Products With Benecos

Benecos Make Up

A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to receive an email from the lovely team at Benecos offering to send me a few of their products to try out. Benecos is a natural beauty brand that uses plant oils and waxes that mimic skin lipids to support the natural regulation process of the skin. They don't use any of the following ingredients in their products: silicones, parabens, mineral oil of synthetic ingredients - so you can use their products knowing that you're being kind to your skin too.

I was very generously sent the Nail Polish in Blue Sky*, Eyeshadow in Apricot Glow* and the Natural Bronzing Duo - Ibiza nights*. All of these are great shades for me, as I like a natural look on my face and I love to have bright nails for summer. The first thing I noticed was that the packaging is amazing! It's simple looking in a clear plastic case, so that you can see the products, but the quality is some of the best I've ever seen. The thick cases are so

Lily Lolo Laid Bare Eye Palette

Lily Lolo Laid Bare Eye Palette

My eyes can be a little sensitive sometimes and there are some products that irritate them. A while ago I was looking for a natural/organic palette that I could use all the time that would also be kind to my eyes.  The Lily Lolo Laid Bare Eye Palette ticked all the right boxes for me and I've never looked back. I've had this palette for a while now (probably not far off a year!) so I thought it was time to share a review with you.

Lily Lolo is a brand that caught my attention for their emphasis on mineral make up. Over 10 years ago Vikki, the founder of Lily Lolo, started mixing her own mineral make up at home and that's where it all began. You'll never find harmful ingredients like parabens, phthalates, synthetic perfumes or dyes in their products as they only use ingredients that are kind to the skin. They're also cruelty free of course.

LoveLula Haul

Love Lula Haul

LoveLula is an online beauty shop that stock natural and cruelty free products. As I'm trying to use more natural products it's a perfect one stop shop for me. I still like to check the cruelty free status of brands before I buy just to double check, but you're pretty safe ordering from here. I was after some new bits and pieces for our trip to London this weekend and PHB Ethical Beauty was all 30% off, so I couldn't resist placing an order.

Grenade Carb Killa Protein Bar

Grenade Carb Killa Protein Bar Review

Anthony and I bought some Grenade Carb Killa Bars last month as a little treat to ourselves - there was an offer on so we thought why not try them out. I'd heard good things about them and we're looking for something that we can have that is convenient and good for you too.

We bought the Cookies & Cream flavour and let me tell you now, they're amazing. They taste exactly like a cookies & cream chocolate bar and don't have that artificial/chemical flavour that some bars have. They are a really generous size and I find that I struggle to eat it in one sitting, as it fills me up so much - Anthony does't have this problem and wolfs them down in 2 seconds! I like to grab one of these for after my Saturday session at the gym, as it's convenient for me to take with me to have as a breakfast snack afterwards and it keeps me full until lunchtime.

Winter Morning Skincare Routine

Winter Morning Skincare Routine

I always switch up my skincare with the changing seasons as my skin has different needs throughout the year. With this in mind I've added a couple of new products to my routine so I thought I'd share what I'm currently using/loving with you. Since adding in some more natural skincare my skin has never looked better - I've only had a couple of pimples and even those have been small and not lasted very long.

I've been trying out a new cleanser over the past couple of weeks and so far, so good. The Antipodes Grace Gentle Cleanser is a cream cleanser that feels really smooth and gentle on the skin. It removes my make up really well without stripping my skin and leaves my skin feeling soft to the touch.

I then use The Body Shop's Vitamin E Hydrating Toner. I love this toner although it isn't as natural as what I would

How To Conceal Dark Circles

How To Conceal Dark Circles

We've had a lot going on over the last couple of months with social events and have a lot more coming up too. I love to go places and do different things, but it can mean having more late nights and early mornings than usual, which seems to be showing on my face come the morning. I've noticed that my dark circles under my eyes are becoming more prominent and I'm needing to use more than just foundation to cover them recently. I've found 2 products that do a great job in covering them and make me look ready for the day.

The first is Becca's Under Eye Brightening Corrector. I love this little pot and I use it every time I wear make up - I'm not exaggerating, it's an absolute staple in my routine. I apply this before foundation and the difference in my dark circles is already greatly reduced. It's a peach coloured cream that neutralises the blue tones of dark circles making your eyes appear brighter. It doesn't crease on me and stays on all day without needing a touch up. The

Red Lips with Living Nature

Living Nature Wild Fire Lipstick

Let me introduce you to this little beauty... Living Nature's Wild Fire Lipstick*. I've been wanting to try Living Nature's lipsticks for a while so when an email popped into my inbox offering to send me a lipstick to try I obviously jumped at the chance. I was sent Wild Fire which is a gorgeous red - I wear a lot of red lipsticks so this was a great colour for me and I've already worn it a ton of times, plus the packaging is just dreamy.

Living Nature is fast coming up in my list of favourite brands and I wish I'd tried their products sooner. They use only 100% natural ingredients with an emphasis on unique New Zealand botanicals like Active Manuka Honey - a skin healer, Harakeke Flax Gel - a super hydrator, Totarol - an anti-oxidant and antimicrobial and Manuka Oil - a skin protector. All of their packaging is recyclable to help protect the planet and they are cruelty free too of course. Their Wild Fire lipstick is packed with organic ingredients like beeswax, carnauba wax and coconut oil to

The Holiday Make Up Bag: Poland

Face Make Up Poland

I'm off on a few trips and holidays this year, so I thought I would do a little mini series of Holiday Make Up Bags throughout the year. My first trip of the year is Poland (I'll actually be over there by the time you're reading this!) and so this trip's make up bag will kick off the series. Luckily, we have a suitcase to put all of our toiletries, appliances, etc in, so I haven't had to streamline my stash too much, but I've still whittled it down to one of everything (or maybe 2!). We are sharing the suitcase between 4 of us, so I still need to be careful what I'm packing and how much it weighs and I've finally settled on the below pieces.

London

So I'm a little late on posting this as I didn't get around to it before Christmas, but both of these events are still on so I thought it won't hurt to tell you about them. It will also be good to have this to look back on. This year I'm going to try my hardest to log more holidays/days out on this here blog, as it will be good to have a little diary of them. Hopefully, my Florida post will be up soon too even though that was 6 months ago now!

So at the end of November last year Anthony and I went to London for the day. I'd planned the whole day as a surprise for Anthony and it went off without a hitch, thank god! We got into London for 10.15am and headed

2017 Goals

I wasn't going to do one of these posts this year, but I thought it would mark the start of 2017 quite nicely and it will be good to have a record of what I'd like to achieve this year. I haven't really set myself any New Years Resolutions as such, but I do have certain things that I want to focus on more throughout the year.

Blogging

At the end of last year, I got so busy in my social life that blogging took a bit of a back seat and I lost my love for it. However, now it's a new year and January is always a quiet month socially (although I do go to Poland in less than 2 weeks!), so I really want to try and make blogging more of a priority now. I've also had some great ideas for posts that I can't wait to share with you guys.
